Project Experience

Smart Surveillance System | Independent Developer (Haoke) (Feb 2022 – Present)

Project Description:

  • Developed an intelligent monitoring system to detect abnormal events and send real-time alerts to WeChat Work.
  • Implemented text-based video search for faster monitoring review and improved efficiency.

Technologies & Implementation:

  • Used Django as the framework, integrated Celery and RabbitMQ, and employed FFMPEG to asynchronously capture data from cameras to local storage.
  • Leveraged the Yolo8 model to analyze video frames for human presence, and used a message queue system to trigger monitoring alerts.
  • Implemented distributed deployment of resources. Built an LLM-based system, using BLIP2 to translate video surveillance into textual descriptions.
  • Integrated with Flask APIs and RabbitMQ to efficiently write monitoring text into the database, improving QPS to 300.
  • Web: Laravel-admin is used as the backend to display surveillance videos and provide text-based search functionality.

Aryza UK Financial Debt Management System | Senior PHP Developer (Jan 2023 – Jun 2023)

Project Description:

  • Worked on one of the Top 5 debt management and financial service platforms in the UK, covering debt handling, loans, collections, and insolvency services.

Legend Game Backend System | Web Technical Manager (Oct 2019 – Oct 2020)

Project Description:

  • Managed the official website and backend system of a private Legend game server.
  • Built backend business logic from scratch, including chat monitoring, in-game item and currency distribution, and broadcast notifications.
  • Developed interfaces for third-party advertising platforms.
  • Implemented order transactions via WeChat Pay and Alipay.

Project Description:

  • B2B platform providing fresh food and fruit delivery services for restaurants, with in-house warehousing and delivery teams.
  • Developed on WeChat Official Account, allowing restaurant operators to place orders directly through WeChat.
  • Implemented key modules including membership system, order management, logistics, payment processing, and full frontend-backend management.
  • Optimized operations to scale daily revenue from 300 RMB to 180,000 RMB.

Technologies & Implementation:

  • Built H5 “Fresh Mall” frontend and backend management system from scratch using ThinkPHP 6 and Vue.
  • Deployed a distributed system with load balancing, message queues, Elasticsearch, database optimization, Redis caching, and data sync mechanisms.
  • Developed order, logistics, and warehouse systems; enhanced order and logistics pipelines for high concurrency using Redis message queues, ensuring smooth processing without errors or losses.

Technologies & Implementation:

  • Developed using Yii framework; handled both frontend and backend in a monolithic architecture.
  • Utilized Swoole multithreading to improve concurrency and efficiently handle ad matching processes.

Niupai Social App | PHP Engineer (Apr 2009 – Dec 2012)

Project Description:

  • Developed during the transition era from websites to mobile apps.
  • Started as a simple website project, later migrated user data into the Niupai social app, offering features similar like early WeChat: chat, moments feed, “shake” interactions, etc.
  • Responsible for the core chat module and data analytics; supported over 1 million active users with peak QPS of 500.

Technologies & Implementation:

  • Built using a custom in-house MVC framework similar like ThinkPHP 6, with a Service layer for reusable business logic.
  • Implemented horizontal database sharding for user chat data, keeping each chat table around 3GB / 10 million rows to avoid database bottlenecks.
  • Stored user information in Redis to optimize access speed.
